April 6th, 2023 - 12 days of the official season left!
If you've not done anything on your taxes, it's a good time to at least file an extension. And don't believe some of the stories you hear about filing an extension - it does not put a "red flag" on your account with the IRS. In fact, filing an extension can not only take more burden off you and your preparer to meet the April deadline, but can also save you some headaches with filing errors if you DO file in a rush and have to amend things. Take your time, do things right, and don't be afraid of an extension if needed.
